The Amos and Celia Heilicher Minneapolis Jewish Day School is committed to academic excellence. We create an environment where children can experience the power of their ideas, develop the tools and attitudes necessary to become learners, and nourish the understanding and connection to Jewish ideals, values, and community. Through individual attention and active participation in the learning process, each student attains the highest possible level of personal achievement. Emphasis is placed on creative thinking, problem solving, and the development of leadership responsibility.

The Day School fosters a respect for self, school, and community that prepare students to live in a complex and democratic society. Our students have a strong sense of pride in their Jewish heritage and identity. They carry with them the knowledge and values needed to become productive members of our global community.

Grades K through 8, made up of nearly 400 students, is located on the Barry Family Jewish Community Campus.

Our outstanding faculty is led by Dr. Ray Levi, Head of School. He brings to the Day School over twenty years of experience in elementary and teacher education and has been active in several national initiatives in the fields of both Judaic and General Studies.

The Amos and Celia Heilicher Minneapolis Jewish Day School provides a pluralistic, egalitarian program that respects the diversity of Jewish life and practice. The school is generously supported by the Minneapolis Jewish Federation.
